Hi! I'm Nicola, the Founder of To Do Women.

If you’re new to this space, you’re probably wondering who I am, how I got here and why I chose to create the growing platform that is the To Do Women community.

I am a Social Worker and Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy student. I launched TDW in May 2020 from my Sydney bedroom. It was mid-lockdown, I was overwhelmed and struggling with crippling self-doubt, and I couldn’t stop comparing myself to others. It was a cruel cycle so many millennial women experience, especially during a period of career and life changes. All amidst a global pandemic.

My struggle with comparison and self-worth was preventing me from getting sh*t done. I lacked motivation and felt alone in what I was experiencing, so I slowly began speaking to friends, family members and some of the women closest to me.

As we spoke, I began to realise that I wasn’t alone, and my experiences weren’t unique. In fact, many women experience the same self-doubt and lack of confidence when it comes to career, intelligence, body image, skill sets and just life in general, as I do (or, did).

Speaking to these women not only motivated, inspired and empowered me to reclaim my power and take control of my productivity and self-worth, but to create a community where I encouraged other women to do the same.

Over a year later, To Do Women has become a strong Instagram community of like-minded women who discuss topics otherwise left unspoken, provide tangible tools to manage productivity and achieve our goals, encourage each other to believe in ourselves and regain our sense of self-worth, and, most importantly, to ask for help when it’s needed.

To Do Women is a judgement-free space. We’re here to inspire, empower and lift each other up, especially when we’re at our lowest.
